Every house in Burano is painted a different colour, and the kids made it their job to find them all.
Getting there
Take the water bus from Venice. It is a lovely ride, and you see the lagoon islands on the way.
Half a day is enough
Walk the canals, buy a little lace, and eat lunch by the water. Go in the afternoon, when the light makes the colours glow.
